Challenge
I guess I failed Christine’s challenge. Actually, I’ve been feeling like stopping to update the blog for quite some time now. I find that when I don’t write anything for long spurts, I get hungry to write, and that motivates me to sit down and write a script. With the blog, there’s this steady pressure-release, and that’s bad. Because it takes that sudden urge to do anything as crazy as actually try to write a film.
I’m not saying that I’m quiting entirely. We’ll see. But I think that I will probably try to make my posts shorter updates than long rambles. That’s probably better for everyone involved.

I’m more of a subscriber to the gym theory of writing… it’s a muscle you need to exercise, or it begins to waste away.
I think one of the reasons I sometimes write without the “sudden urge” is because it keeps the mundane from remaining mundane when I have to commit it to paper (or something of that sort). I have to turn it over and take it apart… look for humor or mistakes in the situation – often one and the same.
But then again, I’ve not exactly been a stellar example of regular communication recently… and when I do blog, it’s been on MySpace – so it’s not like you could see it anyhow, you defector.
