Indicorps Announces January Fellowship
This past summer I worked on a leadership workshop for high school students with Roopal Shah, one of the founder’s of Indicorps. I was amazed with Roopal’s boundless energy, organization, and humility. Just days after the workshop, Roopal left for India to rejoin her brother at Indicorps.
This past week, I received an email from Roopal telling me about her challenges launching an Ultimate Frisbee league in Ahmedabad and asking for my help to publicize Indicorps newly created January Fellowship. Although, I’ve never participated with Indicorps, I know a number of people who have. They are honestly changed people — not the “Oh, I went to India and felt like a changed person, but came home and everything was the same in a few months.” These are people who have made a profound change in their outlook that’s still going strong years later.
Here’s a blog of a current Indicorps fellow that I read:

Here’s Roopal’s blurb:
“Up until now, life has chronologically built one year upon the next: high school to college, college to job, but job to random-inexplicable-year-doing-development-work-in-a-place-I-call-”the homeland”, that does not follow the line. So instead, it is like I am currently standing outside of this lifeline and watching it progress without me. At some given point I’ll hop back on this destined course and resume my position in the world of right angles, round circles,
and perfect squares.
Stepping away from the beaten path lets me see something only distance can reveal. I now know something that others just do not see. That I believe I will hold on to as my secret between life and me.”
